I just snagged the first four volumes from Oni during their recent sale (still going on---discount on Volume 1s and free shipping over $30), so I figured I'd post these while I was thinking of it.
Scott is your ordinary slacker post-high schooler, living with a gay friend, playing in a local band and dealing with a past breakup. As we met him, he picks up with a high school girl and starts dreaming of a hot delivery girl, who turns out to be using his brain as a way to get places faster.
When Scott moves towards a romance with her, he still has his high-school girl to deal with. But before he can do anything about that, a former paramour of the delivery girl appears with murder on his mind and--if what he says is true--he won't be the last. What the heck is going on?
O'Malley weaves it all into a tale that is somehow believably normal--friends jamming in a garage, debating who gets the last piece of sushi--and yet has several really weird things going on that seem to just slide right in there. These could easily be your friends--if your friends could execute Matrix-like fight moves. Very cool stuff!
