This Looks Cool: Jeff Parker and Bob Q Combine for James Bond Origin

Dynamite's various James Bond series have been a lot of fun to read. Now they've added Jeff Parker, one of my favorite creators, into the mix for a new series putting a young James Bond in the thick of World War 2.

Unfortunately, I don't have any internal images to share, but here's the promo text from the press release:
Hitting stands in September, James Bond Origin takes readers back to March 1941. Seventeen-year-old James Bond is a restless student in Scotland, an orphan, eager to strike out and make his mark on the world. But a visit by an old family friend coincides with The Clydebank Blitz, the most devastating German attack on Scotland during the War! James will fight through hell to survive, coming out the other side determined to make a difference.
I'm usually a little leery when we look to do origin stories, but this is Jeff Parker, so I trust him. It's also going to be interesting to see if Jeff goes for any parallels to the life of Ian Fleming, or sticks to keeping Bond within a fictional history. Either way, I'm on board for this.

James Bond Origin starts in September. Keep an eye out!
