It gives me great pleasure to announce that starting this week, I am the newest member of the Newsarama Best Shots team! I could not be happier to be part of such a great group of reviewers whose comments on comics are insightful, well-written, and avoid the all-too-easy snark and slam method of comic criticism. When I've been unsure about a book, I've used the Best Shots team to help me make a decision, so I really respect their opinions and I'm very, very excited to be one of the group!
Panel Patter isn't going anywhere, don't worry. I'll still be talking all things comics at this site, but some of my newer comics reviews will be on Newsarama instead of here. Look for a "Rob at 'Rama" post on Fridays that will point to any reviews I've written for Best Shots that week.
The first column with my reviews is here, where I look at Bloodstrike 26 and Atomic Robo Presents Real Science Adventures #1 (whose title took up a good chunk of my word count!). There's also coverage of Daredevil, the one book I'd be willing to pay Marvel digital prices for, if they'd let me, Superman 7, and even the Rachel Rising Vol 1 trade. Enjoy!
Those who know me well know I am a comics evangelist. I've worked hard for years here to try and help out good comics, and now I have a new pulpit to preach from. Time to keep spreading the word, and I hope you'll join me at my new home away from home!
