Self-Published Zine

I wasn't able to find a picture for this anywhere, which is a shame because this little parody zine (riffing off of Kochalka's graphical essay, "Sunburn") is absolutely hysterical. Jason--the guy Kochalka portrays as a dog in the daily diary strips--gets his revenge by taking Kochalka's draw the ordinary in life style and makes it sound like he's an egotistical asshole that thinks the world should bow down to him.

Kochalka washing after using the restroom becomes, "I can't afford toilet paper so I have to use my hands." A series of shots of Kochalka in reflection end up as tributes to his manhood. The messy house ends up as a rant against his wife. It's spot on hilarity as Jason turns Kochalka's world upside down with more one liners than you can shake a stick at.

I'm not sure if you can get this anywhere but at cons. If you see it, though--grab it. You'll laugh your ass off if, like me, you're a fan of the Elf.
