It's hard to believe that James Kochalka's Sketchbook diaries, which I tumbled on pretty much by accident, are ten years old now. There's been a few breaks here and there, but for the most part, he's been drawing a short strip every day about something going on in his life.I can't even keep up with doing a daily blog entry, and that doesn't require any pencils!
In honor of his anniversary, Kochalka's main label, Top Shelf, is having a sale on his works, which you totally should check out.
For my part, I am going to post my reviews of the Kochalka works I've read to date, with the exception of Monkey vs. Robot, which I did not read when I was doing reviews. I hope you enjoy, and find a thing or two to discover for yourself. (Picture by me, taken at the 2008 Small Press Expo.)
